We are part of almost 8 billion people and we spend a second in terms of cosmic time in a universe that is many billion years old.  What are we doing here? My view is that we are born repeatedly until we recognize the Divine in us and the Divine in everybody else.  I have learnt through my experiences and readings that only when we arrive at the realization that we are Divine and that others are part of the Divine will we reduce the possibility of having a physical body again. The universe comprises everything including the trees, the mountains, the seas and the seasons. To move towards the realization of our Divinity, we have to tame our minds and control our senses.  Our body should be used for Divine acts and we have to continuously tame the mind and control the senses to achieve this.  We need to take care of others and we need to learn to love no matter how difficult it is. There should be an absence of greed, anger, malice, hatred and lust.  When we reach the stage of loving ourselves and others, which is accompanied by taking care of the universe, we will not be born again.  We will have a different purpose once we are one with God. Since we have matured as Divine beings, we will be part of the Spirit world taking care of the universe.

 

In order to realize that being born is an extra-ordinary gift, we need to recognize the beauty of the earth, the sunrise, the sunset, the trees, the mountains and the seasons.  There is a high level of abundance of resources for us to eat, live and create families.  It is quite a Gift that we experience this beauty and all the resources. We have this opportunity to reach Godhead and be one with God.  It is out there for all of us together, yet each individual has her own characteristics inherited from previous lives.  Our minds, I believe, are inherited from previous lives.  Therefore people are so different and their instincts, responses and characteristics are genuinely unique.  We will continue being born, living, and dying (that is the body) until we refine the mind and senses to reach the goal of Divine qualities.  I mentioned earlier that Divine qualities are love, caring and the realization that we are all ONE which includes the trees, the mountains, the suns, the moons and everything in this universe both animate and inanimate. There is no such thing as death.  The soul moves from one body to the next.  It is a cycle until we have refined our minds and senses to such an extent that we become truly human.  Truly human means pure LOVE. We have to reach the stage of pure LOVE unaffected by what happens in the material world.  Embrace everybody irrespective of difference.
